Ciao!
My first visit to Italy when I was studying for my B.A. in art history really hooked me! I went on to complete an M.A. in art history and a Doctorate in Education. I conducted independent study for my B.A. in Rome and my Master’s research in Florence with a specialization in Renaissance-Baroque art.
My aim is to go beyond the brief – and sometimes misleading– tourist guidebook overview to bridge the gap between superficial information and academic resources.
I write for the discerning reader/viewer/traveler who would like to experience and understand Italian art in its historical and cultural context.
